Visual identity design and illustrations for the Itinerários de Resistência project by the Social Tourism branch of Sesc São Paulo.
The project showcases part of the São Paulo community-based tourism network, which includes diverse groups such as indigenous villages, quilombos, settlements, associations, and urban collectives. These community-focused movements contribute to local development and the strengthening of shared struggles and goals.
The 20 booklets, one for each community, were a way for Sesc to maintain the value and promotion of this network, as in-person visits had to be suspended during the pandemic. They can be accessed digitally through the Sesc Digital portal.
For the development of the identity, we started with a color palette that could be segmented into 5 (one for each region of the state of São Paulo) and illustrations that referenced elements of the communities while also having an abstraction that allowed them to be used as graphic complements to the photos and other existing materials specific to each group.
