Graphic design, layout, and illustrations for the Recife Street Design Manual! The manual presents parameters, recommendations, and case studies to help design better streets for people, focusing on pedestrians, cyclists, and public transportation users, aiming for efficient, sustainable, and democratic access within the city.

Launched in May 2023, the manual was developed by Recife's Municipal Management, through the Urban Traffic and Transportation Authority of Recife (CTTU), and experts from the Global Designing Cities Initiative (GDCI), a member of the Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS), who invited us for this year-long collaboration!

We illustrated the 19 street typologies identified by CTTU in a fun way, incorporating elements that reference actual streets in Recife, without compromising technical accuracy regarding scales and the design of roadway elements, as the manual is intended for city managers, municipal technicians, consultants, architects, urban planners, and engineers involved in roadway projects.
The manual can be downloaded for free here.
